Over-population is a myth, a lie we've accepted as an axiom without really examining its legitimacy. The entire population of earth could fit inside of New Zealand if it lived as densely as it does in Manhattan. Not saying that's ideal nor would I want to live that way but it's true. So what is? Resources? Well that's kind of vague. Maybe instead it's the way resources are currently created and distributed. More likely it's the falsehood of scarcity and fear-based propaganda used to keep that mind-set so deeply indoctrinated in people. Abundance is right at our finger tips with sophisticated approaches to permaculture. The world's population could virtually be fed for pennies or even free with a small change in our attitudes and actions. Even deserts can be "greened" to produce bumper crops year after year. Don't believe me? Just ask Geoff Lawton. The guy that does it and teaches others to do it for themselves. What about energy? Energy is the most important thing there is. Without it none of this can be accomplished. And continuing to use abiotic oil, which has been proven to be constantly replenishing itself, and is the blood of the Earth itself is just a perpetual sacrifice which has more occulted symbolism and ritual to it than most of us know. In other words, yes, the earth itself is being used as a blood sacrifice and we are all partaking in it. So we need to look elsewhere with serious study. If static our hopes are in vain; if kinetic – and we know it is, for certain – then it is a mere question of time when men will succeed in attaching their machinery to the very wheel work of Nature. Many generations may pass, but in time our machinery will be driven by a power obtainable at any point in the Universe." --Nikola Tesla (1889)[45] If you don't know about him, well let's just say he was working on providing free sustainable energy for the entire world before he died. And there's a group called the Tesla Science Foundation that thinks kids should be learning about that in school. Check them out. I'm thinking if we spent 10 trillion dollars researching vacuum energy instead of deadly fighter jets we might be more than a little bit evolved from our current state.
What I'm getting at is this: It's not that we don't have space or resources. That's a bunch of bullshit. The small handful of criminal cartels profiting off of that which we are currently using and exploiting human labor to get have us believing we couldn't enjoy a civilized life of comfort without them doing so. But what's more offensive, in fact the most crippling problem, is how many of us know all of this but don't spend our time discussing remedies and solutions. We can spend the next few decades talking about the "powers that shouldn’t be" ruining our lives and our planet but they only have as much control as we give them. They are only as mighty as we believe them to be. And though they can control minds with propaganda, and other more nefarious means, they cannot restrain our human spirit much longer. In reality they are scared, naked little worms hiding in holes. And they know when we yank them out into the light they will shrivel and die. We've long enough kept each other oppressed through false identity divisions created and manipulated mostly by corporate media. Our division has been their greatest weapon. The sad truth is that we have been our own worst enemy. And as for me, I think we've talked long enough about what THEY are capable of. I'm going to focus on what WE are capable of. |
