Oh Hi,
Thanks for stopping by.
I'm a published book illustrator and painter currently looking for exciting projects to work on.
If you're into my style and would like to work with me please send me details of your project and I'll get right back to you.
Art is my weapon of choice.
I know that using symbols, forms, and colors is the most direct route to the subconscious mind;
in other words, the quickest and deepest cut one can make.
I'll use any weapon of opportunity at my disposal to tell stories... music, cell phone apps, watercolors, paper cut art, oil painting, woodworking, papier mache, skateboard wheels, physical force, mental fortitude, spiritual intuition, sharpies, expensive pencils, compasses and rulers and speed squares.
And embedded in those stories is a narrative that will for sure be
politically, ethically, or philosophically charged, whether it is immediately seen on the surface or not.
Because whether I'm working on light-hearted children's book illustrations or more adult-themed content; I'm always developing my take on mythology and our human condition and hopefully redefining things that might otherwise be remembered incorrectly in this mind-bending Age of Highly Fallible Digital Information.
I am building worlds.
Those worlds are building me.
And they are always rooted in truth.
My next illustrated book will be about poop.
My work has been exhibited at the following venues:
Space Montrose
Lawndale Art Center
The Funky Monkey gallery
Commerce Street Warehouse
Wind Water Gallery
Yale Street Arts Market
The Silos at Sawyer Yards
Fun Fact:
My most recently illustrated children's book "A Chowder of Cats?" is now officially featured in
The Post Oak School Library, in Houston.
